The University of South Carolina School of Law is excited to be hosting the 2010
Southeast/Southwest People of Color Legal Scholarship Conference this spring,
March
25-28, 2010
.  The theme of the conference is Equality and Justice in the Obama Era.
The Conference provides an important opportunity for legal scholars and community
leaders to come together to exchange ideas and to discuss legal, cultural, and social issues
that affect communities of color.  For nearly six years, this Conference has promoted
professional development in the academic arena by providing law faculty, especially junior
faculty, the opportunity to present works-in-progress and to participate in discussions during
the panel and roundtable sessions.  This Conference has been instrumental in the
development of legal scholarship by and about people of color.
